The Eberlestock Little Brother can be used as a backpack on its own or attached with integrated zips to the larger Warhammer pack or J79 system. The Little Brother features an uncomplicated chimney design with sufficient number of MOLLE webbing panels. In the back of the pack is a hidden tunnel space to insert a rifle scabbard, which makes the pack especially suitable for hunters or military. Due to its volume it is great for one or two-day expeditions.
The pack can be loaded from the top or through the fold-away front flap giving you direct access to the main compartment and a great overview of the carried equipment. Both lids are secured with a two-way zip with massive pulls for easy manipulation.
The pack features only one large main compartment which offers a few sub-compartments. It can be accessed either from the top or from the front. The top lid is equipped with a pocket to stash your small accessories or other gear you need to have at hand. The tiltable front lid is equipped with a MOLLE compatible webbing panel and a flat pocket, from the inside it also features several rows of reduced MOLLE webbing. On the inside of the main compartment are more MOLLE webbing panels, several elastic sub-compartments and a mesh panel to secure a carried radio station, on the back of the pack are additional elastic pockets designed primarily to stash your hydration bladder. On the side are three compression straps and an elastic pocket for a water bottle.
Between the main compartment and the back panel is a hidden internal space which turns into a tunnel sleeve with MOLLE webbing, into which you can insert and attach a rifle scabbard. If you do not want to use the space for carrying a rifle, you can instead insert the Gossamer back panel.
Just like all other Eberlestock backpacks, the Little Brother is also equipped with quality shoulder straps, which are sufficiently padded yet breathable due to the used 3D mesh material. In addition to that, the shoulder straps may be compressed using stabilization straps so as to adjust the distribution of weight and pressure on the shoulders. The back padding is sufficient and the central channel leaves enough room for the air to circulate around the spine. The pack fits comfortably even during long hikes. On the shoulder straps are several additional loops for the attachment of additional gear. The pack has one massive carry handle on the top. An elastic sternum strap adjustable in height will help you better distribute the carried load. Since the Little Brother has been designed as a complement to the bigger Warhammer back or J79 system, it is not equipped with a waist belt nor vertically adjustable back system. Nevertheless, the back padding is designed so as to accommodate any type of belt and the shoulder straps may be detached in order to attach the pack to the larger Warhammer or J79 system.
On the sides of the pack are rows of full fat MOLLE webbing to help you attach even more essential gear. On the tiltable lids are panels with reduced webbing.
