The Eberlestock Battleship is the bigger brother to the Destroyer pack with its volume of nearly 100 litres. It is made from the extremely durable Cordura 500D in ripstop pattern, exposed parts are made of even more durable Cordura 1000D. The pack is designed for expeditions and military units that need to carry heavy loads over long distances.
Just like the Destroyer, Battleship offers two entry points to the main compartment. The pack can be filled from the top. The entry to the pack is covered with a lid with two compression straps and one pocket. The lid is also equipped with three rows of MOLLE webbing on the top and velcro panel for an ID tag or a patch. Under the lid you find the classic extension collar to keep your stuff safe from dirt and water. The second possibility is the direct entry to the main compartment through a two-way zip with over-sized pulls on the front. When closed, the zip pulls are secured with velcro to prevent any unwanted opening of the bag. Up front there are two horizontal and two vertical compression straps to compress the bag or to secure any additional equipment outside the bag. The front compression straps are complemented with two loops to hang an ice axe, shovel or other tools, trekking or ski poles, etc.
In the main compartment are several separate pockets for a neat organization of your equipment and several compression straps to secure it. At the bottom part of the pack is a separate compartment for stashing your sleeping bag. A big advantage for radio operators, in the main compartment, the backpack has a specifically designed pocket to stash your radio, there is also a small hole to stick the antenna out of the pack. The space between the main and the bottom compartments is divided by a compression collar, which can be loosened to create one extra large compartment. Two deep and two standard side pockets are designed to carry water bottles or to stash a hydration bladder, we guarantee compatibility with Source Tactical bladders of up to 3l. The pack's bottom hides yet another pocket with an integrated rain cover to protect the pack from heavy rain.
Just like all other Eberlestock backpacks, the Battleship is also equipped with quality shoulder straps, which are sufficiently padded yet breathable due to the used 3D mesh material. In addition to that, the shoulder straps may be compressed using stabilization straps so as to adjust the distribution of weight and pressure on the shoulders. A big plus of the back system is its individual adjustability based on the height of the user. The back padding is simply massive and the central channel leaves enough room for the air to circulate around the spine. The pack fits comfortably even during long hikes. On the shoulder straps are several additional loops for the attachment of some extra gear to include the hydration bladder tube to make sure it holds firmly in place. The pack has two types of carrying handles, one on the top, the second on the sides. An elastic sternum strap adjustable in height will help you better distribute the carried load. On the waist belt are three rows of MOLLE compatible webbing, it is fastened with a plastic buckle just like the sternum strap. In case you do not need it, you can simply undo the velcro in the back panel and remove it. There are three handles for carrying or dragging. Two on the sides and one on the top.
Over the entire pack are placed multiple rows of fully-fledged MOLLE compatible webbing where you can attach additional equipment.
