Ballistic protection can take many forms, with the simplest division being according to the parts of the body that individual elements protect. The purpose of these ballistic protection elements is simply to protect their wearer. Health is all we have, and with our life it is the same.

Ballistic plates

The first of the ballistic protection elements that you will find at our store are ballistic plates. Simply put, these are flat objects made of solid and durable material that are designed to be inserted into the plate carrier. The plate carrier can be defined as a ballistic vest, but at the same time it functions as a tactical vest - it has increased modularity and thanks to the MOLLE/PALS webbing and/or velcro panels, it can be adjusted in any way you like. But let's go back to ballistic plates, which are made of, for example, ceramics and protect against certified and defined risks, which include shooting from different calibers. So it can be said that a plate carrier with integrated plates protects like a ballistic vest, only with added value. Modern plates do not have an edge made of hard foam, which can make up to a third of their surface, under which the wearer is simply not ballistically protected, but is protected by a ceramic filling right up to the edge.

However, before buying ballistic plates, you need to pay attention to one thing - namely that they are compatible with a specific plate carrier.

Ballistic vests

The category of ballistic protection also includes ballistic vests, which do not bring the tactical advantage of plate carriers, but in contrast to them, they are mostly intended for concealed carry. Already because they are more low-profile. Such ballistic vests are also ergonomic, so you can easily wear them all day. Maybe under a looser shirt or under a jacket - and no one will notice anything.

Due to their design, ballistic vests cannot protect against rifle calibers so perfectly, but they can easily handle most pistol calibers and even stab wounds. Such a solution is especially useful in cases where you are an exposed person, or you carry more expensive things with you, such as a higher amount of cash, gold, etc.

Head protection

Head protection is then taken care of by elements that, unlike vests, are not very low-profile – ballistic helmets. But it is not necessary for those, because they are used in situations where it is necessary to protect oneself explicitly and openly. Ballistic helmets usually have an additional tactical dimension - in addition to protecting the head from injury, they can be combined with extra equipment such as flashlights, communication devices with cable routing, night vision (NVG), tactical goggles and the like.
