The PGD Level IV Protection Group ballistic plate is made from a single piece of silicon carbide-based SiC high-purity ceramic material. Thanks to this technology, the plate has a ballistically resistant surface from edge to edge and thus does not have a ballistically "deaf" spot on it, which can make up to 1/3 of the surface of the ballistic plate. This technology also makes it the strongest yet lightest ballistic plate in its class offered by the Protection Group.
When it is getting tough, you want to be absolutely sure you have the best protection and peak performance. And where else in Europe could they offer modern armor with the best parameters than in the land of the best warriors of the early Middle Ages and Sven Vidlovous. Yes, you guessed right. The company Protection Group is based in Denmark, where it also manufactures ballistic plates PGD of the U-line series for us.
The PGD Level IV Protection Group ballistic plate meets ESAPI (Enhanced Small Arms Protective Insert) ballistic and dimensional standards and NATO standards. Therefore, all five sizes of PGD Level IV Protection Group plates are dimensionally identical to ESAPI plates and therefore fit all standard plate carriers, ballistic vests and bulletproof vests.
The PGD Level IV Protection Group ballistic plate is designed as a multi curve, i.e. that it is rounded according to the shape of the abdomen and chest, in layman's terms, it is not straight like a kitchen board. At the same time, the PGD Level IV Protection Group ballistic plate is stand alone, i.e. it does not require a soft ballistic insert to reduce trauma.
The back side of the PGD Level IV Protection Group ballistic plate has an "Anti Back Face Signature" finish. This layer ensures optimal energy absorption when the plate hits. The ballistic monolith is sealed in a water-repellent Cordura coating. The perimeter of the plate is protected from impacts by a layer of foam.
