Combat Systems® III.A ballistic insert for Agilite® K-ZERO

These ballistic inserts from the Czech brand Combat Systems are designed for plate carriers and ballistic vests, in this case for the Agilite K-ZERO carrier, and fall into the category of soft armor. This means they can stop, for example, pistol caliber shots.

Soft armor is flexible

The advantage of soft armor inserts is their high flexibility – these ballistic inserts adapt to the shape of the user's body. At the same time, they protect against pistol caliber shots (such as 9mm Luger, .44 Mag, or .357 Sig) and also against fragments.

Minimizing impact

The aim of Combat Systems ballistic inserts is to minimize the secondary effect (trauma effect or vest deflection at the point of impact) on the user's body. Primarily, however, it is important that the ballistic inserts stop shots from handguns, which have high impact energy.

The best materials

Combat Systems uses the best materials available on the market for manufacturing ballistic inserts, such as laminates from American Honeywell, especially those based on UHMWPE from Spectra fiber. Combat Systems inserts do not need to contain any additional materials to reduce trauma, as the ballistic material itself reduces trauma excellently.

Beyond the American standard

However, Combat Systems ballistic inserts go even further, beyond the American standard NIJ 0101.04, and as a result, they can also stop bullets like Tokarev or Makarov. These are easily available but also dangerous. It is also worth mentioning that the ballistic insert itself is enclosed in a waterproof cover and is sealed using ultrasonic technology.
