The Wisport ZipperFox 40 military backpack is the latest addition to the Wisport survival and military backpack family. It is a version derived from the proven SilverFox concept, but this backpack is slightly larger and more versatile. It is ideal for camping and one-day to two-day trips, hiking or cycling, as well as long mountain climbs. It can also be used for hunting or fishing. ZipperFox represents high functionality and innovative technologies, is extremely lightweight and has a durable construction. ZipperFox serves well in virtually all conditions, regardless of the weather.
The main feature of this unique backpack is the main compartment shaped and zipped in the shape of an inverted U. This allows quick and easy access to the contents of the main compartment from the top and from both sides. The backpack is large enough to accommodate everything you need without having to rummage through the massive main compartment in search of equipment. The durable, two-way branded zipper allows the backpack to be opened only at the top or on one side. The zipper is equipped with paracord on the pulls for easy grip, even with gloves. The zipper is covered with a baffle on both sides.
SAS = Semi Adjustable System
The SAS carrying system is a comfortable carrying system that allows partial adjustment. This system consists of straps and belts made of a special durable aluminum alloy, integrated in the rigid back part of the backpack adjacent to the user's back, and a uniquely designed hip belt. Adjustment is enabled by the special construction of the hip belt. It is not permanently connected to the backpack and can be very easily detached. The hip belt can be attached 180° rotated and, thanks to its asymmetric design, the back length increases by approximately 7 cm. The backpack can also be used without this belt.
Stability
Another important indicator is the good stability of the backpack. Thanks to the firmly sewn-in ergonomically shaped straps, the backpack system provides excellent stability. This system can also compensate for uneven distribution of the contents and dynamic loads, such as when climbing or skiing.
Excellent ventilation
All components of the backpack that are in direct contact with the user's body are ergonomically shaped and covered with a spatial grid / mesh AIR NET and AIR MESH, which allows air circulation and thus ventilates the backpack user's back and removes sweat and moisture, especially on longer trips.
The shoulder straps, sternum strap and hip belt are equipped with plastic buckles and quick-release fasteners.
The ZipperFox comes with a newly designed SAS carrying system, which now includes an easily removable, centrally located aluminum frame / belt.
In addition, this very practical backpack comes with a waterproof raincoat that will protect the backpack and its contents from getting wet in the rain or snow, hidden inside the easily accessible lower compartment closed with Velcro. ZipperFox is camelbag compatible, has a zippered compartment for a water bag on the back. There is a drinking tube opening at the top covered by a flap closed with Velcro and UTX Flex drinking tube holders are prepared on the shoulder straps. The backpack is equipped with a solid fabric handle at the top for carrying in the hand, it can also be used when putting on / taking off the backpack or, for example, when crossing a ford and can also be used to pull a wounded person to safety. On both sides of the backpack there are 2 compression straps with a plastic quick-release buckle to adjust its volume, which can also be used to attach other equipment that does not fit in the backpack or that we need to have at hand. This further increases the carrying capacity of the backpack.
On the front of the backpack, there are 4 D-rings for attaching additional equipment. PALS webbing is sewn on the front and on both sides, so the backpack is compatible with all MOLLE equipment and gear. The backpack also has side ski attachment straps. It also has many internal open pockets and zippered pockets for easy organization of small equipment. One mesh pocket with a zipper is on the inside of the top lid on the front of the backpack. On the same side, below it, there is a fabric pocket with an open entrance from above. On the opposite side, there is a fabric pocket with a zipper at the top, ideal for documents. Below it is a fabric pocket with an open upper entrance. On the side, there are two mesh pockets with a vertical zipper. On the other side, there are two mesh pockets with an open entrance at the top and a slip pocket above them with a sewn-in MOLLE compatible webbing. Strong fabric straps with plastic quick-release buckles on the bottom of the backpack are used to attach a sleeping bag, sleeping mat, folded jacket, etc.
On the front bottom, the backpack has an embroidered Wisport logo and an embroidered ZipperFox inscription. On the front top, there is a Velcro panel for attaching an ID tag or favorite patch.
