ZipperFox 25 belongs to the family of survival and military backpacks from the renowned Polish manufacturer with tradition, Wisport. It is a smaller version of the popular ZipperFox 40 backpack. This backpack is ideal for camping, up to two-day trips and generally for hiking or cycling. It can also be used for hunting.
The ZipperFox line of backpacks is highly functional and reliable. It features innovative technologies, is extremely lightweight and has a durable construction. ZipperFox serves well under practically all conditions, regardless of the weather.
The lower front of the backpack has an embroidered Wisport logo and an embroidered ZipperFox 25 label. At the top front, there is a velcro panel for attaching an ID patch or a favorite patch.
The main feature of this unique backpack is the main compartment, shaped and zipped in an inverted U-shape. This solution allows quick and easy access to the main compartment contents from the top and both sides.
Although the backpack is smaller than its 40-liter counterpart, it is still large enough to hold everything you need for shorter trips. The durable, two-way branded zipper allows the backpack to be opened only at the top or on one side. The zipper pulls are equipped with paracord for easy gripping, even in gloves. The zipper is covered on both sides by a fabric flap that ends at the bottom with mesh pockets to hide the unzipped pulls.
The SAS carrying system, which equips this backpack, is a comfortable carrying system allowing partial adjustment (SAS = Semi Adjustable System). This system consists of straps and belts made of a special durable aluminium alloy, integrated into the rigid back part of the backpack, which fits the user’s back, and a uniquely designed waist belt. The newly designed version of the SAS carrying system is improved as it includes a version of the SAS system fitted with a removable, centrally located aluminum frame/belt.
The special construction of the waist belt allows for adjustment. It is not permanently attached to the backpack and can be easily detached. The waist belt can be attached at a 180° rotation and, due to its asymmetry, increases the back length by approximately 7 cm when fixed in this way. The backpack can also be used without this belt.
Another important indicator is the good stability of the backpack. The permanently sewn, ergonomically shaped straps provide excellent stability to the backpack system. This system can also balance unevenly distributed contents and dynamic loads such as those occurring during climbing or skiing.
All components of the backpack that are in direct contact with the user's body are ergonomically shaped and covered with an AIR NET and AIR MESH space mesh/net, allowing air circulation and thereby ventilating the user's back and wicking away sweat and moisture, especially during longer trips.
The shoulder straps, chest strap and waist belt are equipped with plastic buckles and quick-release buckles. Thanks to them, the straps are easy to adjust and fasten, and at the same time, they allow the backpack to be quickly removed – the so-called quick release system.
Among other features, this very practical backpack comes with a waterproof cover that protects the backpack and its contents from wetness during rain or snow, hidden inside an easily accessible bottom compartment.
The ZipperFox is compatible with a hydration bladder, for which it has a compartment on the back, closed with a zipper. At the top, there is an opening for the drinking tube covered with a flap secured with velcro, and the shoulder straps have UTX Flex drinking tube holders that rotate 360°.
The backpack has a sturdy fabric handle at the top back for hand carrying, which is also useful when putting on/taking off the backpack, crossing a ford or even pulling an injured person to safety.
On both sides of the backpack, there are 2 compression straps with plastic quick-release buckles to adjust its volume, which also serve to attach additional equipment that doesn’t fit inside the backpack or is needed at hand. This further increases the backpack’s carrying capacity.
On the front of the backpack, you will find 4 "D" rings for attaching additional gear. The front and both sides have PALS webbing, making the backpack compatible with all MOLLE equipment and gear. The backpack also features side straps for securing skis. The sturdy fabric straps with plastic quick-release buckles at the bottom of the backpack can be used to attach a sleeping bag, tarp, sleeping mat, folded jacket and similar items.
The backpack also has many internal open pockets and zippered pockets for easy organization of small gear. One mesh pocket with a zipper is on the inside of the top lid on the front of the backpack. Below it on the same side is a fabric pocket with an open top entry.
On the opposite side, a fabric pocket with a zipper is ideal for documents or papers. Below it is another fabric pocket with an open top entry. On the left side, there are two mesh pockets with a common vertical zipper. On the other side, at the bottom, is a mesh pocket with an open top entry and above it a pass-through pocket with sewn-on PALS webbing.
