The Swedish company Fjällräven (translated as "polar fox") is now a legendary manufacturer of backpacks, clothing and other outdoor equipment. The result of the brand's many years of development is also the Abisko Wool Logo SS M T-shirt made from a merino wool blend with a classic round neckline, which belongs to the clothing series of the same name.
This unique T-shirt is minimalist at first glance, and that's how it should be – after all, the entire Scandinavian design is minimalist. This purely utilitarian piece of clothing is "disrupted" only by the retro logo on the right side of the chest, which the Fjällräven brand has been using since 1960.
Fjällräven brand clothing is more sustainable than ever before. The Fjällräven Wool Logo SS M T-shirt is made, among other things, from traceable, certified merino wool, which is certainly a pleasant bonus. The manufacturer speaks of so-called "sustainability through longevity." Which should be the standard for quality products regardless of the specific product.
The above combination of materials is perfect for use in T-shirts, not only from a sustainability perspective but also from a functional perspective. While polyester quickly wicks moisture away from the body and dries quickly, merino wool has excellent resistance to unpleasant odors (for example, from sweat) and can keep you warm even when it gets wet. This makes it a great first layer in the functional composition of outdoor clothing.
We know from the past that some clothing and equipment can even harm health with their chemical treatments. This is not a risk with the Fjällräven Abisko Wool Logo SS M T-shirt, as it does not contain PFAS, which are perfluorinated and polyfluorinated substances widely used in the second half of the 20th century.
