The Eberlestock HiSpeed II is an uncomplicated lightweight backpack for multiple-day use, it is an upgraded version of its predecessor, the HiSpeed model pack. It is made from light weight yet sturdy 420D nylon in ripstop finish. Thanks to its light weight and durability it can also be used as an EDC pack. Due to the sufficient amount of reduced MOLLE webbing is the pack especially suitable for hunters and military personnel, who can adjust it to their individual needs thanks to the webbing. The pack has an unconventional shape, which helps it fit perfectly on the back, since the weight is distributed towards the spine, perpendicular to the load bearing axis.
The pack features two separate compartments, each with its own access. Unlike in the older "HiSpeed" version, both upper and lower lids feature one more top pocket. The top lid with access to the upper compartment is covered with three rows of MOLLE webbing and opens with a two-way zip with massive pulls for better and easier manipulation. In the first compartment is a mesh pocket and space for small accessories. Inside the main compartment you find an elastic sleeve to stash that hydration bladder and two dividers which create three separate pockets. The upper and lower compartments are divided by a divider with velcro, both compartments can be turned into one bigger compartment. Just like the upper pocket, the lower pocket is also equipped with MOLLE webbing and an over-sized two-way zip. Unlike the upper pocket, the lower pocket also has MOLLE webbing on the inside.
The back panel is made from polycarbonate making the pack steady and sturdy. The sides of the pack are reinforced so that the pack holds its shape. The pack can also be compressed using two compression straps on the sides, bringing it even closer to the load bearing axis to help distribute the load efficiently. On both sides of the pack are two elastic pockets ideal for water bottles or small accessories.
Just like all other Eberlestock backpacks, the HiSpeed II is also equipped with quality shoulder straps, which are sufficiently padded yet breathable due to the used 3D mesh material. In addition to that, the shoulder straps may be compressed using stabilization straps so as to adjust the distribution of weight and pressure on the shoulders. A big plus of the back system is its individual adjustability based on the height of the user. The back padding is simply massive and the central channel leaves enough room for the air to circulate around the spine. The pack fits comfortably even during long hikes. On the shoulder straps are several additional loops for the attachment of some extra gear. At the top you find a massive carrying handle. An elastic sternum strap adjustable in height will help you better distribute the carried load. On the waist belt are two rows of MOLLE webbing, it is fastened with a plastic buckle just like the sternum strap. In case you do not need it, you can simply undo the velcro in the back panel and remove it.
On the sides of the pack are multiple rows of full fat MOLLE compatible webbing which allow for attaching additional equipment. On tiltable lids are panels with reduced webbing.
