It is the year 1981, and in a city in Washington, USA, a local citizen is racking his brain over damaged diving gear. Such gear is quite expensive, so he doesn't want to buy new one. He wants to repair it. What do you think he will do? Go to the store for superglue or DuckTape? No way. He creates his own solution, which in a few years will turn the market direction towards him. Thus began the history of Gear Aid®.

Back then, more than thirty years ago, the company McNett^® was established. Everything was leading to it, as there wasn't a single diver around the inconspicuous small town of the main state of America who didn't have his neoprene repaired by this company. Their solution named Aquaseal was stronger than the neoprene itself and also offered the same characteristics. At that time, an idea was born: “Why couldn't we provide similar service to other equipment?.” Thanks to this, the company started focusing on their own solutions for damaged or broken equipment.

Transformation from McNett^® to Gear Aid^®

In 2017, the company has many of its own solutions and is planning to launch products like rechargeable flashlights, knives, and more. That same year, it was bought by a Canadian corporation and renamed to today's Gear Aid^®. This transformation helped it gain sufficient funds and somewhat new direction. It still focuses on quality, efficiency, and the idea: Save the gear. So, what does the company offer?
