The Tenacious Mesh mesh patch from the German brand Gear Aid is ideal for repairing torn mosquito nets and insect nets – just a small hole is enough for this type of outdoor equipment to lose its functional properties. It is this mesh patch that helps to restore it, which can get you rid of pesky insects.

For a functional mosquito net again

The package includes two patches made of strong nylon mesh, which are in the shape of a circle with a diameter of 7.6 cm and on their perimeter is a transparent self-adhesive ring made of Tenacious PVC tape. After sticking the patch, the mosquito net will be functional again – in short, the patch will completely prevent intrusive insects from penetrating to the other side.

Two pieces of tape or talc

Since the mesh you will be sticking the tape on is inherently full of gaps, the self-adhesive part needs to be dusted with talc after sticking, otherwise the mesh may stick together after assembly. Alternatively, you can use both patches included in the package on one tear, and stick each one from one side of the mosquito net (i.e. mirrored). A double-patch blind has the advantage of being stronger. Of course, it is important to glue both patches in the same axis.
