The Swedish company Fjällräven (translated as "polar fox") is today a legendary manufacturer of backpacks, clothing and other outdoor gear. The result of the brand's long development is also an improved series of advanced Kajka trekking backpacks, including accessories such as this side pocket. The Swedish explanatory dictionary defines the word Kajka, among other things, as "to move aimlessly on water". In short, the journey can also be the destination…
Although Kajka backpacks, including this additional pocket, look modest and minimalist (like the whole Scandinavian design), don't be fooled by the first impression. These advanced trekking backpacks are literally packed with smart features. The Kajka pocket is suitable both for expanding the volume of the 35-liter backpack of the same name and for supplementing the Singi trekking backpack.
The side pocket, which we recommend buying in pairs, is compatible with the Fjällräven Kajka 35 backpack and the Singi series of trekking backpacks. The pocket can be easily attached to the sides of the Kajka backpack or to the front thanks to a hidden daisy chain strap.
We know from the past that some clothing and equipment can even harm health due to their chemical modifications. This is not the case with Fjällräven Kajka backpacks or their accessories, as they do not contain PFAS, for example, which are perfluorinated and polyfluorinated substances widely used in the second half of the 20th century.
Fjällräven backpacks, including accessories, are genuinely sustainable regardless of size. The polyamide used is, for example, recycled, as is the lining and reinforced parts of the backpack. The manufacturer speaks of "sustainability through longevity". This should be the standard for quality products regardless of the specific product. Kajka backpacks are easier to repair compared to the previous generation.
The main material used is vinylon F, which lasts a long time, is easy to care for, and, for example, the even more famous Kånken series would not be what it is without it. The material is flexible and durable, and the manufacturer says that although it was created by humans, it feels as if it came directly from nature.
