fireROD™ V2 Exotac®

It seemed that there was nothing to improve on Exotac fireROD (the first generation) but we were wrong – the manufacturer updated this fire starting tool for carry in a ferro-loop on a knife sheath. The ferrocerium rod is replaceable and you will also like plenty of storage for tinder or water purification tablets.

Ideal for bushcrafting 

This fire starting tool is ideal for outdoor activities as it can be used lo light almost anything. The fact that it is designed to be carried in a ferro loop on a knife sheath makes it perfect for bushcrafting.  

Use knife as your striker 

Your knife can be used as striker so you have all your fire starting tools nicely together. Many bushcrafting knives do not round over the edges of the spine leaving them sharp for use as a striking tool.

Tinder capsule 

The top cap hides a small compartment that holds two quickLIGHT tabs (included) or tinder of your choice. The included dry-treated cotton tinder is extremely easy to light even with a small spark.

Ferrocerium rod 

The included 5/16" ferrocerium rod is waterproof so when wet you can simply just wipe it over with dry cloth. The ferro rod is also replaceable - simply unthread it from the body of the fireROD and thread in a replacement rod.

Anodized aluminium body 

The body of fireROD V2 is CNC machined, in house from USA high-grade 6061 aluminum. It is then anodized for protection in one of four signature Exotac colors.
