The Team Elk is a hunters' pack to the last. It is made from a durable, non-rustle, water-proof material. Its integrated pockets allow for the carry of both a rifle and a compound bow.
The dominant feature of the pack are three compression straps on the front, one horizontal and two vertical, connecting the top lid and the pocket on the bottom of the pack, which can also be used as a bow carrier. On the top of the lid are four rows of MOLLE compatible webbing, the lid is secured with a compression strap. The lid further contains two pockets with a water-proof zip closure. On the sides are deep pockets with water-proof zip closure for hydration bladders or a scope as well as elastic bottom pockets.
The pack has two access points, you can either use the top access with a drawstring sleeve or the frontal access with a two-way zip and a fold-away flap with an integrated flat pocket. On the inside of the flap is a small organizer. On the sides of the main compartment are four sub-compartments for better organization of your equipment.
A patented integrated scabbard system will allow you to transport hunting guns without using your hands. The scabbard is located near the back panel for better distribution of weight.
Just like all other Eberlestock backpacks, the Team Elk is also equipped with quality shoulder straps, which are sufficiently padded yet breathable due to the used 3D mesh material. Additionally, the shoulder straps may be compressed using stabilization straps so as to adjust the distribution of weight and pressure on the shoulders. A big plus of the back system is its individual adjustability based on the height of the user. The back padding is simply massive and the central channel leaves enough room for the air to circulate around the spine. The pack fits comfortably and provides good ventilation due to quality padding. On the shoulder straps are several additional loops for the attachment of additional gear, including a loop for the hydration tube. On the top of the pack is a massive carry handle. An elastic sternum strap adjustable in height will help you better distribute the carried load. The waist belt features two small pockets and a plastic buckle fastening. In case you do not need it, you can simply undo the velcro in the back panel and remove it. In the middle of the pack is a compression strap to compress the entire pack.
The load bearing feature of the Team Elk pack is its aluminium frame the pack is attached to. Much like in the "F1" carrier frame, at the bottom, the frame is bent, creating enough space to fit in your sleeping bag or a catch bag.
