Vortex® Strike Eagle 1-6 x 24 AR-BDC3 (MOA) Riflescope

A riflescope is an optical device which is attached to a rifle instead of the classic sights to make the aiming easier by making the target look closer / bigger. This model by Vortex allows for up to six-fold zoom. It is actually a specially designed telescope with crosshair and illumination for easier aiming. It is ideal for tactical shooting, sports shooting and hunting. The Strike Eagle is a shooting scope in the second focal plane, which means the size of the cross does not change with the adjustment of zoom, measuring features have corresponding sizes on maximum zoom. This is a new, enhanced Strike Eagle with a new crosshair and real 1x zoom.

Durable material

The body of the riflescope is made of high quality aluminium used in aircraft industry featuring black anodized surface for more durability and attractive look. Thanks to this the scope does not produce undesired reflections, which would otherwise give away the shooter to its enemies or a hunter to its game.

Well protected optics

Lenses and other optical features with full multi-coat treatment provide an excellent image quality due to extremely high light transmittance. They thus provide optimal observation results. This top-notch technology ensures a completely clear image with high contract, sharp contours and natural colour definition. Moreover, the external lenses feature the special ArmorTex protection, which protects the device from scratches, oil and impurities.

Easy to operate

Using the riflescope is really simple. Using the rotating ring at the output lens you adjust the focus exactly for our eye. On the head of the scope you also find one more ring to set the required zoom. Approximately in the middle of the body of the scope you find setting wheels. With the left wheel you adjust the illumination, with the right wheel you adjust the side correction (windage) and with the upper wheel you adjust the height correction (elevation). The zooming is much easier and faster thanks to the detachable zoom handle, which is included in the set.

Reticle

Reticle or crosshair the scope uses is AR-BDC. This outstanding system enables shooting from 0 to 600 yards (approx. 548.64 meters) with popular calibres of .223 / 5.56 mm and .308 / 7.62 mm. Its use is detailed in the riflescope manual. It can also be used for a wide range of other guns and calibres using the Precision BDC also described in the manual.

Crosshair illumination

The Strike Eagle features a solution for shooting in low-vis conditions – illuminated crosshair. It offers an illuminated central point and a semi-circle around it. The illumination offers 11 intensity levels which are very easy to interchange - see above.

Illumination power

The riflescope illumination is powered with one CR2032 battery, which we find mainly in computers. One battery is included in the set. If you want to, you can stash a spare battery in the setting wheel.

Weather is no factor

The scope is waterproof and impact-resistant, it is also filled with Nitrogen and sealed with "o" rings, so no water will leak in and the scope will not fog up. Special sealing technology protects high-end optics from external influences. No dust, impurity or humidity can penetrate the scope and cause damage or distortion in the provided image. The riflescope boasts with the waterproofness in accordance with the IPX7 standard so it is resistant to water up to 1 meter of depth for 30 minutes.

No distortion

The riflescope features a fixed parallax correction at 100 yards, which is approx. 92 metres, showing in fact very little parallax. In accordance with the current industry practice this minimum position distortion is considered "parallax free" and has practically no effect on the Strike Eagle performance.

Important: For proper functioning of the scope it is essential to mount the scope properly. Follow instructions in the manual.
