The Vortex Sparc AR Red Dot is a tubular sight that is an excellent alternative to open mechanical sights and that facilitates target aiming primarily by eliminating the problem of constantly alternating eye focus on target and on sights. Very suitable for tactical shooting, sport shooting and hunters.
The body of the sights is made of a single aluminium alloy, which is anodized for greater resistance as well as for a more attractive look. Also, thanks to this, the aiming device is not a source of unwanted reflections that would give away a shooter to an enemy or a hunter to their prey.
Lenses and other optical elements with adjustment multi-coat provide excellent image quality due to extremely high light transmission. They provide optimal observation results. This state-of-the-art technology guarantees a perfectly clear image with high contrast, sharp contours and natural color resolution.
The tracker offers a red dot with 12 degrees adjustment illumination and brightness of the center dot (the previous model only offered settings in 10 degrees). The lowest 2 levels are compatible with night vision. The control features of the sights are located under the eye socket on the back, closer to the user of the rifle, and performed with 2 buttons. The buttons are placed side by side. To turn the sight on, press the up arrow button. One button, with the up arrow brightness increasing, the down arrow button brightness decreasing. Tracker will turn off by holding down the illumination level button for approximately 5 seconds. When turned on, the last selected setting will kick in. Right wheel controls side correction (windage) and top wheel controls strong elevation correction (elevation).
The red dot is powered by an AAA batteru, a so-called micro-pencil that is commonly used in electronic devices. The battery is part of the delivery. The battery compartment is located under the body of the sight and the lid is located in the front under the lens.
It is waterproof and impact-resistant plus filled with nitrogen and sealed with "o" rings, so that does not even fog in. Heat range is huge (-20 °C to 70 °C), only to account for the strong reduction in battery life, especially at temperatures below freezing point. Neverthless, the battery edurance is much higher than in the previous model. If we forget to turn off the collimator after stopping using it, it will automatically turn off on itself after 12 hours.
Special sealing technology protects high-end optics from external influences. No dust, no dirt and no moisture can penetrate the telescope and cause damage and/or defects in the supplied image.
The tracker shows very little parallax. In line with current industry practice, this minimal bias in object position is considered "parallax free" and has minimal impact on the Sparc AR Red Dot performance.
Important: Correct assembly is essential to the proper functioning of the sight. Follow the instructions in the manual. The rifle must be equipped with a Picatinny or Weaver type rail/base for the use of this red dot.
