The swedish company Fjällräven (translated as "Arctic Fox") is now a legendary manufacturer of backpacks, clothing and other outdoor equipment. The result of the brand's long development is also the Lappland hunting backpack series, including this 45-litre model Friluft 45.
The Fjällräven Lappland Friluft 45 hunting backpack is well-ventilated, lightweight and simultaneously durable. Simply ideal for hikes through the forest and mountain ridges. The backpack is made from patented G-1000 material, and the reinforced base is made of waterproof polyamide 500D.
The backpack is equipped with seven practical and well thought-out pockets. Noteworthy is the detachable front pocket, which can either serve as a standalone minimalist backpack or as a holder for a long weapon for hunters who want to keep their hands free during transport.
The fact that this backpack is designed for extreme conditions is evidenced, among other things, by the integration of a reversible rain cover, which serves as camouflage both in snow and in the forest. The backpack's carrying system is excellently ventilated and adapted to the male physique.
Other well thought-out solutions in the Fjällräven Lappland Friluft 45 backpack include ergonomic shoulder straps and a hip belt with separate pockets and ammunition holders. Also included are expandable side pockets and a pocket in the top lid. The backpack is also compatible with hydration solutions (hydration pack not included).
From the past, we know that some clothing and equipment can even harm health with their chemical treatments. This is not a concern with the Fjällräven Lappland Friluft 45 backpack, as it does not contain PFAS, which are perfluorinated and polyfluorinated substances widely used in the 2nd half of the 20th century.
Clothing and equipment from Fjällräven, regardless of the specific model, are truly sustainable. The polyester used in the patented G-1000 material is, for example, recycled, and it's also pleasing that the cotton, which is part of the material mix of this backpack, is organic. The manufacturer speaks of "sustainability through longevity." Which should be a standard for quality products regardless of the specific product.
