Compensators and muzzle brakes are accessories for weapons the purpose of which is to dampen the effects of a shot. Whether we mean the recoil, the noise or the burst of flames, or the spread of the byproducts of a shot.
Clearly, not every compensator, not every muzzle brake, and not every flame suppressor is compatible with every gun. On the other hand, you often don't have to orient yourself so much by the model as by the type of thread used and also the caliber for which the given compensator (or other muzzle device) is intended.
Some manufacturers improve their compensators and other muzzle devices over time and gradually release upgraded versions. In some updated variants, we can also find, for example, shaped ports, an enlarged guide rod channel or a safer mounting system.
For beginners, compensators or muzzle brakes can increase confidence when gripping a weapon, or reduce stress from recoil, which could discourage them from further shooting training. For more advanced shooters, these devices increase comfort and safety when shooting.
Of course, you will not only find muzzle devices themselves, but also a range of accessories, including delimiting pads and their sets or deformation pads.
