The history of Česká zbrojovka dates back to 1936. It was in this year that a weapons factory was founded in Uherský Brod, a town in the southeast of Moravia. At that time, it was one of the most modern and efficient factories of this kind on a global scale. At the beginning of its existence, this factory mainly focused on the production of aircraft machine guns.

Several significant moments appear in the company's history. After the war, specifically in 1949, for example, Česká zbrojovka began producing submachine guns vz. 48, which are among the most famous products of this company from the post-war period. In fact, just until 1953, more than half a million pieces were produced in Uherský Brod.

Over the years, Česká zbrojovka also expanded abroad - in 1998, a subsidiary was established, which began its activity as far away as California. This company operates to this day, although now as an independent entity.
