The Silium Plus safety glasses are inspired by the original Silium model, both by the French Bollé® Safety. They feature a light weight frame and temples. The glasses are ultra light, the entire model is made of polycarbonate. The Silium combine style, ergonomics, performance, durability and longevity.
The Silium model uses polycarbonate lenses 2.2 mm thick, which are sturdy and durable yet light-weight. The glasses feature a great field of vision. 2 straight ergonomic and flexible temples make the glasses fit just right. Just like in other models (e.g. Axis), these glasses also feature the revolutionary B-Flex technology, but not on the temples, on the bridge. This way the bridge is not only non-slippery and adjustable, but the B-flex provides it with an extraordinary flexibility. The Silium's bridge is light, soft and fully pliable and fits on every face thanks to the shape memory material used. The glasses are supplied with the above mentioned temples and a microfibre bag.
The lenses' anti-fog coating facilitates optimum working conditions. It prevents fogging at high temperature difference of the ambient environment the user is working in. Their scratch-resistant coating functions as a shield enhancing the durability of lenses and prevents scratches. This increases the wearer's comfort and enhances user experience. Moreover, both sides of the lenses feature an exclusive PLATINUM surface coating. This coating multiplies the anti-scratch as well as anti-fog properties. PLATINUM also helps protect the glasses from aggressive chemicals. Lenses may be washed with water and soap without damaging the protective coating. Glasses with this protective coating conform to the requirements of EN 166 - point K: resistance to damage of surface by fine particles; in order for the glasses to meet this criterion the dispersion of light after the glass is abraded must be lower than 5 cd / m2 - and point N: resistance to fogging; in order for the glasses to meet this criterion they must remain free from fog in a 100 °C for at least 8 seconds. Clear lenses conform to EN 170 and filter out UV radiation. Such type of protection is recommended to environments with UV radiation sources, i.e. mercury-vapour lamps, UV lamps or germicidal lamps (disinfection).
Lenses should be cleaned on a regular basis. Bollé® Safety recommends using only the Bollé® B-clean cleaning system. If lenses get scratched or otherwise damaged, the entire product must be replaced. If the frame gets damaged, the entire product must be replaced. After use, it is recommended to keep the glasses inside the microfibre bag or rigid case (case and bag are sold separately).
All Bollé® products must be stored at a dry and clean place.
