The Sig P226 was the longtime service weapon of the Navy Seals. So the engineers at Arex must have thought that what's good for Seals operators might be good for Arex customers and created the Zero 1 Tactical (T). The obvious inspiration from the legendary Sig is indisputable.
Like its Sig predecessor, the Arex Zero 1 T is a 9mm Luger self-loading pistol with an external percussion hammer and a smooth-running, short-reset DA/SA trigger. In addition, in the Tactical version, the gun is equipped with an M13.5×1 thread for mounting a shot silencer (suppressor) or other muzzle device. The preparation for a reflex sight is prepared for mounting a reflex sight of almost any manufacturer.
The grip is pleasantly ergonomic and although it looks like it is more for shooters with larger hands, the opposite is true: it holds well even for ladies with smaller hands. The Zero 1 T has an aluminium alloy frame, extended Picatinny rail, raised sights, 20-round magazine, ambidextrous magazine release and ambidextrous manual safety.
The bolt catch also serves as a hammer release lever, just like the original P226. On the upper edge of the slide, there is a cartridge indicator in the chamber.
