The Vortex Viper PST Gen II is offered by its American manufacturer as a mid-range rifle scope. It can accurately lock on target at long distances and is therefore used not only for hunting, but also for tactical use and mainly for shooting competitions at longer and medium distances.
Locking in on target is done via a reticle with an illuminated center point in the first focal plane, which means that its size changes depending on the set magnification. This cross also offers easy zeroing using the special ZeroStop system. Stacks on the tube enable quick height and lateral adjustment of the optics.
The scope can be adapted to different lighting conditions, with a total of ten different levels of illumination available. The aimed target is always perfectly visible thanks to the fact that the scope is filled with argon inside and is thus resistant to fogging.
The lenses of the rifle scope are equipped with anti-reflective layers (XR Coating) and thus can perfectly transmit light without loss. They offer exceptionally low dispersion, excellent resolution and a clean and clear image. A special treatment called ArmorTec protects the lenses against scratches and grease.
The body of the Vortex Viper PST Gen II rifle scope is made from one piece of duralumin (6061-T6 aircraft aluminum) and is highly resistant, both against mechanical impact and against water. The construction of this body can withstand the recoil of even stronger rifle calibers.
