The Tasmanian Tiger Gunners Deployment IRR is a new model of modular military backpack. Its surface has an IRR surface treatment that reduces reflection in the infrared spectrum.
On the front of the backpack you will find four separate outer zip pockets. The middle two are separable and the top and bottom are fixed. The spacious upper pocket is equipped on the outside with a laser-cut MOLLE system for further modular expansion. Below it are two identical central pockets. Their fastening on the panel with Velcro offers the possibility to quickly unclip them with the help of an extended loop. They are therefore ideal for creating a first aid kit, or inserting content that you want to have within easy reach, or simply share it. On the longitudinal bottom pocket there is a velcro panel for placing the ID tag. The low-profile main pocket is accessible with a long all-round zipper, which allows the entire front panel to be folded down. In this area you will find two flat mesh zippered pockets, suitable for storing maps or documents. Much of the interior is covered by the MOLLE velcro system. The backpack also includes pouches for pistol magazines, which you can place inside and outside the backpack.
You can easily remove the center pockets from the panel and place other pouches in their place. In addition, Gunners Deployment IRR offers other modular expansion options. You will also find the laser-cut MOLLE webbing on the upper pocket and on the shoulder straps. Here you can place magazine pouches that are part of the backpack or other bags. Adjustable padded shoulder straps and a chest strap ensure a comfortable fit. All zippers on the backpack come from the YKK production and have extended cords for easy operation in gloves. Detachable shoulder straps allow combination with the Tasmanian Tiger QR LC plate carrier as its back part.
The backpack is made of Cordura, a synthetic material that shows excellent resistance to mechanical damage. All fabric, fasteners, buckles and straps are treated with an IRR surface treatment that reduces reflection in the infrared spectrum. As a result, it meets the high standards of the German Bundeswehr TL 8305-0278 for the IRR masking effect (IRR 650 nm - 1250 nm / 10 - 42 % before IRR devices for night vision).
