The SOF Tourniquet Gen 5 tactical tourniquet is designed for rapid and effective stoppage of massive bleeding, both one-handed and two-handed. Thanks to its innovative design and the use of durable materials, it represents a reliable tool for saving lives in critical situations.
The tourniquet is equipped with an approximately 3.8cm wide compression strap that maximizes pressure on the wound. The special material ensures smooth tightening without catching, thus minimizing pressure loss during application.
An indicator wedge is sewn under the buckle with the windlass, visually signaling the maximum tightening of the tourniquet before starting to turn the windlass. This feature shortens the time needed to achieve complete occlusion and reduces the number of turns of the windlass.
A new lightweight and strong composite buckle stabilizes the compression strap at any angle of engagement, increasing the reliability of the tourniquet in challenging conditions.
A sturdy metal windlass approximately 14cm in length ensures secure and effective tightening of the tourniquet, which is crucial for the rapid stoppage of bleeding.
The tourniquet is designed for easy application on both upper and lower limbs, even in confined spaces or when the limb is trapped. Thanks to the possibility of unfastening at the buckle, the tourniquet can be quickly applied even in hard-to-reach places.
The SOF Tourniquet Gen 5 is approved by the TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) committee and has been assigned a NATO Serial Number, confirming its quality and reliability in both combat and civilian conditions.
