The company SKALA-Medica is a Czech company engaged in the development, production, and service of medical devices and healthcare products. Its business activity is aimed at both the domestic market and the foreign market (strong ties to foreign customers, especially in the regions of Germany, Slovakia, and Turkey).
As for the field of medical devices and healthcare products, the SKALA-Medica company has been involved since 1984 (that was when one of the local employees, the legendary Ing. Skála, participated in what was then still an exclusively state task of developing an artificial kidney). This new method eventually emerged, called CHIRASKAL, and unlike existing procedures, it completely resolved some past problems: primarily the contamination of the patient by the device, while also addressing the issue of imperfect hot and chemical sterilization (the solution deservedly received a patent—the CHIRASKAL method, in turn, earned a gold medal at the international exhibition for its general contribution to medical science and patients).
Later, in 2002, as a result of the accumulated old experiences of Mr. Ing. Miroslav Skála (and now also from slightly different and new demands), the company SKALA-Medica was established. It is a naturally family business, but that certainly does not mean setting the bar any lower. Quite the contrary! All their products, contributions, and services must still meet an extreme volume of various regulations and directives (and now also numerous EU directives).
Recently, a method for treating cancer called HITOC and HIPEC has been developed here.
