The company was founded in August 1991 under the name SiGa^® association Zlín from the first letters of the founders' names, ing. Šiška and ing. Gajdošík. The association is engaged in the production and trade in the field of consumer and industrial chemistry. In May 1997, the company SG^® spol. s.r.o Zlín was established, and production expanded to include other commercial commodities in the range of adhesives, thinners, and tanning agents, including shoe care products. In 2000, the company began focusing on the production of construction chemistry and entered the market with a new product line under the trade name SIGA PRO^®. At the beginning of 2004, the collection of shoe care products was expanded with new trade names SIGAL^® for smooth and wool materials and ACTIVE OUTDOOR^® for sports and tourism. In the following years, the company began producing road paints and coatings under the name SMART PAINT.
