If they freeze, their filter mechanism would be damaged and their efficiency would be significantly reduced. Therefore, Sawyer filters need to be effectively protected.

The neoprene Sawyer Thermal Sleeve is an effective protection, the purpose of which is to increase the life of Sawyer filters, in this case specifically the Mini and Micro variants. The case increases the resistance of the filter to impact and frost.

A device that prevents water from freezing

After the first use, there is always some moisture left in the Sawyer filter. The neoprene Thermal Sleeve prevents the filter from freezing at temperatures below zero, however, it should be noted that it serves as an aid to prevent the water in the filter from freezing, and not as 100% protection. In minus temperatures, we recommend combining the protective case with carrying the filter as close to the body as possible.
