The company "Notch" is dedicated to the production of hats and sunglasses and has set the goal in this matter to produce the most widely used headgear globally (namely the well-known baseball cap) in an even more sophisticated form.
The motto of Jim Jannard (founder of Oakley) is: “Everything in the world can be, and eventually will be, made better. The question is just when and by whom?”
At Notch, we are dedicated to producing the best and most innovative hats in the world, and we have set out to make the world’s most commonly used headwear (the well-known baseball cap) in an even higher quality and more thought-out form.
One of the disadvantages of this traditional apparel is that it doesn’t allow you to wear a hat or a pair of sunglasses simultaneously, as the brim of the cap and the arms of the sunglasses typically interfere with each other. Therefore, you often can’t pull the cap down as much as you would like.
Until today, there wasn’t any better alternative but to simply deal with it and let your sunglasses and cap clash and interfere. We took this very common problem and came up with the most practical and attractive solution possible. Our patented technology effectively eliminates the interference that commonly occurs between your hat and your sunglasses, thanks to two cleverly placed notches (you can choose “Standard Notch” and “Terra Notch”) that work with all standard types of sunglasses on the market.
This innovation simply blurs the lines between function and form. But the question is, where does one end and the other begin?
It’s a simple, bold, and efficient solution. The war between your hat/cap and your sunglasses has therefore just ended.
Our founder Paul Cunningham is a veteran of the US Marines and was always very frustrated with traditional hats as he liked to wear them with sunglasses, but was never able to wear them together in the way he envisioned. He was always forced to choose one or the other. Notch was born out of his desire to solve this problem. The company is based in Yuma and also operates on the principle that it is better to give than to receive. So, for every hat/cap you buy from them, you ensure one meal through the “Children's Hunger” fund via their partner.
One way or another, congratulations on choosing new hats from Notch – enjoy them!
