The MoG Gloves company has a wide portfolio of professional tactical gloves for various purposes. One of its models is the Rope Overglove, which, in addition to abseiling, is also designed for fast rope climbing. They are mainly used by police officers or members of the army.
The word "overglove" can actually be translated as "glove-over-a-glove". It is therefore an extra layer that you can put on tactical gloves that are already put on. Such "overgloves" then add extra protection during abseiling, where high friction naturally occurs. Challenging training sessions or operations with frequent abseiling could be too demanding for classic gloves.
The MoG Rope Overglove model can be used in combination with thin tactical gloves, which are more than enough from the MoG Gloves (Masters of Gloves) brand. It is intended for the training of armed forces and sharp tactical actions, but also for civilian workers at heights.
Extra reinforced material can be found in the Rope Overglove on the fingertips, especially on the index finger. The material used for the fingers is a strong denim that can withstand a lot. The denim can also be found on the back of the glove. Extra protection is also provided by the material used in the area of the wrist joints.
In addition, these gloves have a special construction for abseiling, especially in the palm area. The material solution on the palm protects against excessive heat generation – high resistance to friction allows several descents in a row. Further material reinforcement can be found in the wrist area.
Thanks to the open cuff, these "overgloves" can be taken off and put on quickly and easily. This ensures their high flexibility. In addition, there is a large carabiner eyelet on the inside of the cuff, which makes it easier to hang the gloves on a tactical belt or military vest.
