REVIEW: Helikon-Tex Alpha Tactical sweatshirt

In today's review, we will look at a very good sweatshirt from the well-known company Helikon-Tex. This is an fleece">Alpha Tactical hoodie made of profiled fleece material and airy mesh lining. Thanks to the materials used, it is warm, but at the same time very breathable and with excellent drainage of sweat from the body. Thanks to the profiled fleece material, it is also quick-drying. So let's get to it.

The Polish company Helikon-Tex^® is a premium manufacturer of professional and outdoor equipment. It is engaged in the production of clothing, backpacks, bags, sails, protective equipment and much more. Their products are very high quality and functional and definitely belong to the top of the market with this equipment.

In today's review, we will look at the fleece">Alpha Tactical sweatshirt, which in my opinion is one of the best functional sweatshirts I have had the opportunity to wear (I own 3 of them). It is a sweatshirt from the UTL^® (Urban Tactical Line) series and is made of profiled fleece material. So let's take a closer look at it.

Basic information

I don't know anyone who doesn't wear a suitable and functional sweatshirt for outdoor and professional use, so I too faced the decision of which sweatshirt to choose for my outdoor and military activities. Of all the models I had the opportunity to wear, the fleece">Alpha Tactical Alpha Tactical is among the top.

The sweatshirt is very practical, comfortable, light, pleasantly warm, but its key feature is breathability, the ability to wick moisture away from the body very quickly and to dry at the same time.

The primary purpose of a sweatshirt is to wear it under a jacket, i.e. as a second (insulating) layer. In the warmer season, however, the it does a great job and you don't need to carry anything extra with you (maybe just a raincoat). Thanks to its low weight and ability to compress, it is suitable for carrying and packing.

The grid structure works as a functional moisture wicking system and greatly promotes faster drying. The lining, i.e. the contact layer with the body, is made of pleasant mesh, which promotes breathability and the ability to wick sweat away from the body.

Important details of the fleece">Alpha Tactical sweatshirt from Helikon-Tex include a high-quality two-way YKK zipper, a cover flap in the collar and a mesh structure.

Elastic cuffs on the sleeves and the ability to tighten the lower part prevent the cold from penetrating the body. The high-quality two-way zipper in turn increases comfort and the possibility of use, for example, during concealed carrying of a weapon or drawing a weapon. Zipper fastening is solved along the entire length, including the collar that protects the neck and is covered in the upper part with a flap (this will be especially appreciated by men with longer beards).

This sweatshirt offers 5 pockets in total. Two lower pockets with slanted zip fastening, one zipped chest pocket with an inner compartment for headphones and two zipped sleeve pockets with velcro-panely">velcro panels. YKK zippers are a matter of course.

The fleece">Alpha Tactical sweatshirt from Helikon-Tex has a total of 5 pockets, all of which are thoughtfully designed. E.g. in the chest pocket you will find a practical hole for headphones, there is a velcro panel on the sleeve pocket.

The choice of this sweatshirt exceeded my expectations and after purchasing the first piece, I bought two more (I pack them for my multi-day events). I wear it practically every time, whether I go on a family trip, a longer trek or as part of military activities. Even after years of use and washing, it is still in very good condition (both color and material), no rips anywhere, zippers are still fine, just a perfect product for great money.
