The German manufacturer of tactical and outdoor footwear, Lowa, is well known in our region, thanks to, among other things, a long tradition of production, the use of modern technologies and own procedures and development, and last but not least, the quality of its products. These also include the Breacher GTX MID, a model that falls under a completely new generation of combat boots.
Lowa makes no compromises with the Breacher GTX MID. Even though the boots are still quite lightweight, they have everything you would expect from a tactical boot. They include, for example, a comfortable dual-density polyurethane midsole or integrated arch support, which you will appreciate especially during long marches – whether you are a member of the armed forces or a civilian outdoor enthusiast.
The above, but also, for example, the certified ankle protection system with Poron technology, make these boots the perfect equipment for soldiers. The upper material then combines the synthetic material Cordura, which is highly resistant to abrasion and at the same time breathable, and smooth leather, which has, among other things, properties that reflect sunlight thanks to the Lowa Rayflect technology. The vertical part of the shoe, which is of medium height (MID), then ideally combines stability with freedom of movement.
Another important part of this shoe model is the Gore-Tex Professional membrane, which ensures reliable waterproofing of the shoes. The Gore-Tex membrane generally contains vents that are many times smaller than a drop of water that should penetrate the shoe from the outside, but at the same time many times larger than a molecule of water vapor, which can, after condensating inside the shoe, get outside.
Another advantage of the Lowa Breacher GTX MID boots is the fact that they are certified professional boots (with EN ISO 20347:2012 certification). At the same time, these boots are antistatic and the complex sole system insulates them against the cold outside. The sole of the shoe has a highly slip-resistant finish, but is also resistant to oils, petrol and contact heat. In addition, an individual combination with orthopedic insoles according to DGUV 112-191 is possible.
You can easily adapt the Breacher GTX MID to the anatomy of your foot, but also to whether you are going uphill or downhill. Individual adjustment is made possible by two-zone shoe lacing. The front and horizontal parts of the boot have separate, individually adjustable lacing zones.
The German company Lowa has been producing not only outdoor boots for a hundred years – it was founded in 1923. And on the occasion of this jubilee, it only confirms that it handles its work really precisely and that its footwear still combines a high level of functionality with great design.
