With the massive HULT Hultafors splitting ax, you can handle the most difficult tasks when processing logged wood.
If you need to split a pile of logs, you don't have to worry about it. This ax has a heavy hand-forged head and, together with a long shaft that gives the swing force, it is ready to face any challenge.
Hultafors axes are still made in Sweden in the Hults Bruk smithy, whose tradition dates back to 1697. Hence the name of this model. The ax head is made of traditional technology from high-quality Swedish steel. Hand forging, the original procedure increases the density, hardness and durability of the material. Each ax includes a leather sheath to protect the blade.
The massive 1.5 kg hand-forged head has a straight edge and a slightly convex shape, which gradually widens. As a result, the pressure naturally distributes to the sides and effectively promotes splitting. Compared to classic models, the long shaft has a straight shape so that it can be held firmly with both hands. At the same time, it allows sufficient swing force, which is needed for splitting. The American hickory handle provides a pleasant grip, without sharp edges and unevenness. When working, it effectively absorbs some vibrations, thus reducing the fatigue of your muscles and joints. Impregnation of the wooden handle with linseed oil increases its durability and lets the natural drawing of the wood stand out. There is a lanyard hole at the end of the handle. Each piece of the Hultafors ax is an original with a unique look. Thanks to the quality and workmanship , a lifetime warranty is provided on the ax head.
