EKELUND Hultafors axe is a great helper for every woodsman, hunter and outdoor enthusiast. A razor-sharp edge cuts trees while building a camp and prepares wood chips for fire. You can perfectly skin and cut the caught game with it, directly in the woods.
When Gunnar Ekelund began producing the Ekelund ax on a larger scale between 1870 and 1875, he had no idea how popular it will become among hunters. It is still produced in Sweden in the Hults Bruk smithy, whose tradition dates back to 1697. This model is a great choice for hunters and foresters, because thanks to the specific properties of the blade, you can skin the caught game directly in the forest with it. It will even handle cutting through the bones. It is of course also suitable for the logging and processing of wood or the construction of shelters. Thanks to the long wooden handle, it provides a certain two-handed grip for demanding work. There is a lanyard hole at the end of the handle. The ax head is made of high quality Swedish steel. It is hand-forged - an original traditional process that increases the density and durability of the material. The American hickory handle provides a pleasant grip, without sharp edges and unevenness. When working, it effectively absorbs some vibrations, thus reducing the fatigue of your muscles and joints. Impregnation of the wooden handle with linseed oil increases its durability and lets the natural drawing of the wood stand out. Each piece of the Hultafors ax is an original with a unique look. Thanks to the quality and workmanship , a lifetime warranty is provided on the ax head.
