When Gunnar Ekelund began producing the Ekelund ax on a larger scale between 1870 and 1875, he had no idea how popular it will become among hunters. It is still produced in Sweden in the Hults Bruk smithy, whose tradition dates back to 1697. This model is a great choice for hunters and foresters, because thanks to the specific properties of the blade, you can skin the caught game directly in the forest with it. It will even handle cutting through the bones. It is of course also suitable for the logging and processing of wood or the construction of shelters. Thanks to the long wooden handle, it provides a certain two-handed grip for demanding work. There is a lanyard hole at the end of the handle. The ax head is made of high quality Swedish steel.
