Helmets are often inadequate in colour to the surrounding environment. Therefore, a disguise is useful to compensate for this deficiency. But not every disguise necessarily fits our helmet.

We need to protect ourselves, we know that for sure. This is especially true in the army, when the helmet protects us from falling, but also from possible bullet hits. As the helmets are mostly one-coloured – as a rule black, green or sand, we cannot use them in all environments. For example, if a black helmet was used in snowy areas, it wouldn't mask much, would it? So-called helmet covers are used to solve this problem.

What is it and how does it work?

Such a disguise is a classic fabric cover for the helmet, which is fixed either by means of an elastic edge or tightening straps. The elastic edge fits behind the edge of the helmet and thus holds on to it, the straps have to be attached in a complicated way. For more modern types of helmets, adhesive prints are also produced in patterns such as - Kryptek, Multicam, and so on. Although they are easier to use, they are more demanding to replace. In addition to these classic disguises, you can also buy a disguise with mesh or a mesh system. Twigs, leaves, grass, in short, everything that will help us in camouflage are placed on them. We should also take care of the material, when synthetic fibers lead the way. They are solid and do not absorb water. The choice mainly depends on the compatibility of the disguise with the helmet and the choice of pattern.
