SFU Next Rip Stop represent the latest generation of SFU pants from Helikon-Tex. SFU means Special Forces Uniform and points to their designation - they are part of the special elite units uniform. The SFU cut was developed by Crye company in collaboration with the aforementioned elite units of the US Armed Forces. The pants represent the most modern cut of the field uniform and the most sophisticated field clothing that can ever be bought. Reinforced, loose cut adds freedom of movement.
The fabric used has a special Rip Stop finish, which gives them resistance to wear and tear, and if a crack does occur, it helps not to spread it further. The original version of the pants did not have this modification. Pants for increased durability have a reinforced seat part and knees. On the knees we can also find insert pockets for low-profile pads. The lower cuff of the trousers in its back part is also newly reinforced.
The button fly fastening uses four buttons. The pants have a new waist adjustment system, now secured with a velcro.
The trousers offer a total of 9 easily accessible pockets for storing the necessary equipment, with several improvements over the original SFU model - 2 front pockets with reinforced edges for increased abrasion resistance when wearing equipment with a clip (pen, folding knife, multitool, etc.), 2 front narrow pockets for everyday items with a new type of closure, 2 back pockets with a new type of closure, 2 large thigh cargo pockets with a velcro flap and 1 button (they now have a compartment inside with elastic bands for spare magazines, bandages or other small equipment) and 1 calf pocket with velcro closure (calf pocket is a different size and is slightly higher than the original version). The carrying capacity of the pants is increased by the "D" rings on the front belt loops.
SFU Next Rip Stop are protected by European Patent No. 002379925-0001.
