The Helikon-Tex Bergen backpack is the ideal companion for shorter outdoor adventures. This is a model belonging to the Bushcraft product line. Its design is based on the Matilda outdoor backpack, but it is significantly lighter. The main user advantages of the backpack are durable material and high comfort.
The Bergen backpack primarily offers a number of functional features and comfortable carrying. The back of the backpack is reinforced with a plastic plate, it is richly padded, but with a preserved system of effective ventilation. The carrying straps of the backpack are adjustable in size and noticeably padded with soft foam at first glance. The adjustable and elastic chest strap, which has a practical fastening with a Fastex buckle and a quick release, also contributes to the comfort.
For its compact size, Helikon-Tex Bergen offers a large number of functional features. These include, among other things, the MOLLE/PALS system located in the center of the backpack, a velcro panel for your patches or a small flat pocket accessible through a zipper with four holes for organization straps. Thanks to these holes, it is possible to fix additional equipment to the backpack, such as sleeping bags and mats. An inner pocket suitable for carrying smaller equipment or for fixing a hydration bag, which can easily be taken out sideways, is also essential.
Although the Bergen backpack is slightly smaller and lighter than its product counterpart, that doesn't mean you'll be deprived of storage space. The main storage compartment has a large volume and is accessible via a sleeve with a brake and a large flap. There are three separate pockets on the exterior of the backpack that can be closed with flaps with fastex buckles. A nice bonus is that you can comfortably put additional equipment behind these pockets, such as saws, axes, etc.
