The GOAST Target System brand, which is part of the Parallax company's portfolio, aims to provide solutions for military and tactical training. The brand was founded by Alan Jensen in 2019, although its foundations were actually laid a few years earlier.
The products of the GOAST Target System brand mainly include targets that can be purchased in various versions and are known for their reliability and wide range of applications. They also meet the high demands of armed forces. The brand focuses on developing solutions that respond to the ever-changing needs of armed forces.
GOAST Target System builds on the foundations of the SSUE (Sniper Small Unit Exchange) program of the Norwegian army, which was established in 2012 by Alan Jensen for training snipers from NATO countries. At one time, soldiers from 12 countries participated in the program. This program was eventually discontinued, but it was gradually replaced by the Parallax Sniper Academy, a training platform established based on the requirements of NATO special forces.
Currently, the portfolio of the GOAST Target System brand mainly includes special targets that provide shooters with feedback when hit. The targets are designed to work with both supersonic and subsonic bullets for both short and long-distance shooting.
Visual feedback upon hitting the target is possible thanks to so-called LED Flashers, which are devices attached to the target and contain LED diodes. These LED diodes can be seen by the shooter from a distance of up to 1200 meters with 15x magnification, or from 800 meters with the naked eye.
In addition to LED Flashers, GOAST Target System also offers spray paint or quick-drying lacquer, which you spray on the target's surface before shooting. This ensures that upon impact, the original color of the target "jumps" back by an average of 3 to 5 cm, giving you a clearer idea of your shooting accuracy.
GOAST Target System delivers its targets to the market in various shapes and sizes. You can even have your own target shape designed according to current requirements. Some of the targets are even compatible with moving target systems, expanding their usability. An advantage of GOAST Target System targets is that they can be used repeatedly and are much more cost-effective per hit compared to conventional single-use targets.
