Gatorz Magnum glasses use the brand's original wrap-style frame. Which means that they are snug and, thanks to the thick temples, cover a really large part of the area around the eyes and temples. Such a frame is often chosen by members of special forces and members of police units. In the ANSI Z87.1 MilSpec variant, you can look forward to above-standard durability and ballistic resistance.
Gatorz Magnum glasses were made directly in the United States, so quality is guaranteed by this fact alone. The aluminum frame of the glasses was precisely manufactured using CNC machines, the hinges are connected to the frame with stainless steel rivets, and the glasses themselves are coated with a durable anodized layer. During production, quality was tested at more than 100 points.
It was the Gatorz Magnum goggle frame that started the Gatorz range of models for shooters – that is, specifically originally for American users who like larger caliber guns. This frame was originally designed as a tactical frame for professionals and is indeed still used today by both special forces specialists and "regular" police forces not only in the US but also in other countries.
The frame of the Gatorz Magnum glasses is adjustable, or the width of the central frame is adjustable. Low-profile temples or a silicone beam with a metal core are also adjustable. Whether you're going to the range, are a member of the armed services looking for something for action, or simply looking for glasses for everyday wear, Gatorz Magnum has you covered.
In their ballistic (MilSpec) variant, the glasses have superior protection – they were successfully tested against two hits from a .15 caliber weapon at velocities between approximately 213 and 221 meters per second, without cracking, shattering or loosening.
