The Swedish company Fjällräven (translated as "arctic fox") is today a legendary manufacturer of backpacks, clothing and other outdoor equipment. The result of the brand's long-term development is also the Keb Stormlocker winter beanie in a smart, minimalist Scandinavian design, which belongs to the product line of the same name.
This winter knitted beanie boasts a windproof design thanks to the combination of merino wool and polyester. The lining is made of Stormblocker fleece and the use of merino wool means great breathability while the beanie can still provide warmth even when wet.
"Helmet" fit means that the beanie is slightly raised on the forehead, while it covers the ears and the back of the neck. The beanie is even designed so that you can wear it under a helmet or hood. A leather logo of the manufacturer shines in the middle above the forehead.
Clothing and equipment from the Fjällräven brand are now more sustainable than ever before. Specifically, in this beanie, merino wool with a clear origin and certified leather (for the logo) were used. The manufacturer talks about so-called "sustainability through longevity," which should be standard for high-quality products regardless of the specific item.
From the past, we know that some clothing and equipment can even harm health with their chemical treatments. This is not the case with the Fjällräven Keb Stormblocker winter beanie, as it does not contain PFAS, which are perfluorinated and polyfluorinated substances, widely used in the second half of the 20th century.
