The Swedish company Fjällräven (translated as "arctic fox") is now a legendary manufacturer of backpacks, clothing and other outdoor equipment. The result of the brand's long development is also the Keb M trousers in a minimalist Scandinavian design, which belong to the product line of the same name.
Fjällräven clothing is more sustainable than ever before. The Fjällräven Keb M trousers are made from organic cotton and the polyester used is recycled, which is definitely a nice bonus. The manufacturer speaks of "sustainability through longevity," which should be a standard for quality products regardless of the specific item.
The Fjällräven Keb M trousers are made from advanced materials. The main one is the patented G-1000 material, which is made from (organic) cotton and (recycled) polyester. This is complemented by a stretch blend of materials containing polyamide, polyester and elastane. Reinforced material is used on the knees, back and pockets.
Other practical features of these trousers include generous ventilation zippers or openings for insertable knee protectors (which need to be purchased separately). In the standard large pockets, of which there are a total of 4, you can store all the small items you need to have on hand. Well-fitting, stretch trousers provide the wearer with maximum freedom of movement in the terrain.
From past experiences, we know that some clothing and equipment can even harm health due to chemical treatments. This is not a concern with the Fjällräven Keb M trousers, as they do not contain PFAS, which are perfluorinated and polyfluorinated substances widely used in the 2nd half of the 20th century.
