Cleaning and maintenance of firearms is something that most of their owners are well-acquainted with and dedicate appropriate care to. However, those who have a knife at home – even a quite advanced and expensive one – are sometimes surprised that they should dedicate a similar level of care to it as well.
A kitchen knife usually just needs to be washed with water and dish soap, possibly put in the dishwasher, dried, and occasionally sharpened. But if we take knives seriously, we should do more than that. For many people, the knife is the most important tool they use in the workshop, at home, in the car, and for self-defense.
You don't need to have a custom knife made of Damascus steel with a monogram costing tens of thousands to take proper care of it. It's enough to have a tool that we don't take lightly and want it to fulfill its function in any situation.
That's why we have means for cleaning and lubricating knives. These include comprehensive kits that primarily feature a precision cleaner, with which we remove any deposits and grease from the knife's surface. This is actually the first step we should always take when cleaning a knife.
Then there are special sprays, lubricants, and oils that have anti-corrosion and antioxidant effects and ensure that the knife remains in optimal condition for as long as possible. Initially, they may not seem completely cheap to you, but there is no need to use them too often, so they will last you a very long time.
We also offer specially developed lubricants for whetstones – except for diamond ones, for which the use of lubricants is generally not recommended. However, grindstones and other types of sharpeners can be easily lubricated with them.
