Anti-particle filters and filter inserts are made of folded special microfiber filter paper. Where and how does it protect 

The time of use of the filter limits only the clogging of the outside of the filter.

The estimated time of use in a very dusty environment (desert, buildings) is couple of hours, in a sterile environment (laboratories, etc.) the use is not theoretically limited, practically weeks; in the hospital environment it is usually couple of days. 

The filter should always be replaced when the respiratory resistance increases due to its clogging.
