In summer, we spend a lot of time outside. During this period, even those who wouldn't dare from autumn to spring occasionally sleep outdoors. However, suitable equipment is naturally still required for sleeping outside the comfort of home. Therefore, it's a good idea to get an appropriate sleeping bag.
Summer is a blessing for ultralight enthusiasts, which means traveling light in Czech. In all categories of tourist and camping gear, volume and weight are reduced, and summer sleeping bags are naturally no exception. Temperature limits are given for all sleeping bags without distinction. However, the higher the range of temperature limits (which means the lower the temperature you can sleep comfortably in the sleeping bag), the higher the weight and volume of the sleeping bag.
Therefore, it is advisable to have a separate sleeping bag for summer that is lightweight and takes up the bare minimum of space in your backpack. For this reason, feather sleeping bags are not suitable despite their high quality, as they are too heavy and bulky. Various manufacturers today have different patented insulating materials. These can be either their own or licensed. They are designed to still insulate well without compromising on weight.
Even on some summer days, it can get quite cold in the early morning, so it is advisable for the sleeping bag zipper to be covered or for the sleeping bag to not absorb moisture from the ground throughout the day when dew forms. This can be prevented not only by a suitable sleeping pad but especially by a waterproof coating. And also by choosing the right materials that surround the insulating layer itself.
One way to divide sleeping bags is into blanket style and mummy style sleeping bags. The mummy style is more practical for sleeping because it covers the user’s head. That's why you will find the vast majority in this category here. The advantage of blanket sleeping bags is that they can usually be fully unzipped and turned into a blanket, which you can use for a picnic in nature.
