Snugpak® Torrent Extreme winter jacket

The Torrent Extreme is the warmest waterproof insulated jacket from the British manufacturer Snugpak. It can fight the elements. Perhaps also because it is insulated with Softie's exclusive proprietary insulation or because it has fully taped seams, thanks to which it can have a much higher water column.

Waterproof and breathable

Thanks to taped seams and a water-resistant finish, this jacket is 100% waterproof. At the same time, it also offers a high level of breathability (for better ventilation, it is also equipped with zippered ventilation holes in the armpits). This jacket also includes 50 % more of the exclusive Softie insulation with which it is filled than the Snugpak Torrent jacket (without the Extreme moniker).

Warms even in low temperatures

The Snugpak Torrent Extreme jacket protects against wind and rain and is also suitable for low temperatures (down to -12 °C). It is made of Paratex Dry (100% nylon) on the outside, and Paratex Light (again 100% nylon) on the inside.

(Not only) practical pockets

Naturally, the jacket must also have pockets. The ones for the hands are quite deep, so you can easily put your hands in them even with gloves on. A hidden breast pocket is also an advantage, in which you can store valuables that you don't want to be too visible. The jacket also includes an insulated hood that is removable.

Precautions against heat leakage

The Snugpak Torrent Extreme jacket is also equipped with peripheral heat loss measures such as adjustable sleeve cuffs or an elasticated drawstring waist. The main zipper and zippers on the pockets are from the famous Japanese brand YKK and are resistant to the vagaries of the weather.
