The 70 liter Snugpak RocketPak backpack is a smaller version of the popular Bergen backpack from the same brand. It provides its users with an amazing variability of space, comfortable wearing and enough handles for all the necessary equipment. It will be used by professional members of the armed forces, campers and ordinary tourists.
As with the Bergen backpack, the biggest advantage of the smaller model is the ability to change the volume easily and flexibly. In the basic configuration, the RocketPak backpack provides the mentioned volume of 70 liters, but if you want to lighten it even more, you can remove the additional side pockets, each of which has a volume of 15 liters, and you suddenly have a 40-liter backpack for shorter trips.
However, you can leave even completely empty pockets on the backpack and just tighten them with the side compression straps. But their removal is a matter of time, all you have to do is open the zipper and click out the quick-release buckles that hold them in place. Both pockets have a zip closure and are protected by an overlay flap.
Separate pockets can be connected to each other or placed on other luggage using the MOLLE system. After removing the pockets, you gain access to the side mesh pockets. Trekking poles or skis can then be fixed in these places with the help of side straps.
The entrance to the main chamber is covered by a lid attached with plastic quick-release buckles. In the front part of the lid there is a velcro panel for a patch or ID label. A spacious zipped pocket above it is ideal for equipment you need to have quickly at hand. You can also find one smaller pocket for documents on the lower part of the lid. The main compartment of the backpack closes around the perimeter with a drawstring with a slider and is large enough for a sleeping bag and other equipment.
If the capacity of the backpack is not enough for you, you can use a bungee cord or D rings on the front of the backpack and shoulder straps to attach other equipment. The lower part of the bottom is sewn with MOLLE webbing, which offers the possibility of attaching a mat, bivouac sheet or sleeping bag outside the backpack. In the lower part there is another space closed with a zipper.
Thanks to the comfortable padding of the back and the softened shoulder straps, the backpack can be worn comfortably even with a heavy load. These segments are covered with mesh for easier ventilation. An adjustable waist strap and an elastic chest strap ensure that the backpack fits perfectly on your back even during active movement. Dural reinforcements ensure the stability of the shape of the backpack.
The backpack is compatible with the British PLCE carrying system and also offers the option of attaching a hydration pack. Thanks to the durable 600D nylon from which it is made, the backpack will serve you for many years.
