The AFG 2 (Angled Fore Grip) is smaller in both overall length and width compared to the AFG variant. This design allows for more precise control of the weapon by positioning the shooter's hand high above the centerline of the bore (unlike conventional vertical fore grips), thereby helping to mitigate recoil and control the weapon for faster and more accurate shooting.
Thanks to its smaller size, the Magpul AFG 2 can be mounted on a wider range of handguards equipped with rails, increasing compatibility with rail covers and accessory mounts. The front grip is compatible with most handguards equipped with an M1913 Picatinny rail. It takes into account the natural mechanics of the shooter's body to reduce fatigue and allows for more precise weapon control.
