The “Dog Tags” Mil-Tec® are a true replica of the identifying marks that were used by the U.S. military.During the wars, these stamps, also known as "dog tags" served to unequivocally identify dead and wounded soldiers. In case the severed injuries made it impossible to identify the body, simply a metal tag with an identification number and other information came up.The stamps often carried information about blood type, vaccination history or religion.Soldiers wore it around their necks in the form of a chain.
The product contains two identical tags used by the U.S. Army and the related chains. One small and one larger, which can be worn around the neck. The stamps were worn in bundles of two.One remained on the body of the dead soldier, and the other could be torn from the bundle for later identification of the body and the execution of other acts related to the soldier's death.
The tags are supplied without stamping. You can create stamps with your own identification data.Tags will be appreciated by military history buffs, airsoft players and re-enacting club members.
