New product from Helikon-Tex: SQUALL Hardshell Jacket

Let us introduce you brand new jacket from the production of Polish established brand Helikon-Tex, that offers the most modern outer layer. SQUALL Hardshell Jacket, that provides complete protection against heavy rain and wind is now available in Rigad. Let´s take a look. 

At the beginning of August, Helikon-Tex announced that the long-awaited jacket to extremely rainy and windy conditions is finally available and on sale. This jacket comes in two variants - men´s and women´s version. Both variants are available in 4 different colors. In addition to basic colors just as for example: black, red (crimson sky - women´s version) or coyote, you can also look forward to colors such as shadow grey or taiga green.

Hardshell - the perfect protection 

As the name suggests, hardshell compared to softshell is stronger layer providing much better water resistance and high comfort in rain and strong wind. You can look forward to the highest possible comfort, which will not be disrupted even by heavy rain. Another important feature of this jacket is also high breathability. Despite Hardshell layer being really strong, it is also breathable. You don't have to worry about unpleasant vapor or rashes, SQUALL hardshell jacket protects not only your back. 

Full-fledged rain jacket 

Hardshell itself wouldn´t of course provide complete protection against water. That is why Helikon-Tex provided this jacket with taped seams, a two-way adjustable hood with a high collar and a durable hydrophobic coating (DWR). The DWR coating is completely free of harmful PFC (perfluorocarbons). Additional protection against moisture is provided by waterproof YKK AquaGuard zippers. 

Highly breathable 

For the transfer of water vapor from the body is responsible the TorrentStretch membrane with a breathability of 30 000 g/m2/24 h. Another parameter worth paying attention is the RET evaporative resistance coefficient, which is in this case lower than 5. The lower the RET factor, the less resistance, so the jacket breathes better. The best quality is in the 0-6 RET range, so the SQUALL jacket has a very good factor. 

For added breathability there are underarm vents, which provide better ventilation and help regulate body temperature. Adjustable cuffs and welts, take care of the rest. Thanks to the number of adjustable features, the jacket will ensure perfect fit and maximum functionality.

Factors such as resistance to sweat, saliva, and foreign odors are also assessed.
