What are the benefits of paracord bracelet?

In case you would lose your knife in the dark, we recommend paracord with reflective/fluorescent features. Your knife will be then found very quickly, especially with the use of flashlight. However, the use of paracord is not limited only to knife handle wrap. In theory, you can wrap almost anything, just make sure not to limit the function of the wrapped items. You can wrap for example water bottle, mug, axe handle or handle/strap of your backpack. Simply anything what makes sense.
Many manufacturers offering paracord as a spools of parachute cord. So if you don´t want to undergo extra work with wrapping different items, you can simply opt for this option, just be aware of the fact that it may take a lot of space in your backpack.
Many adventures wears paracord wrapped as a ribbon. There are several benefits to it such as lowering the weight,no need for spools and other things where we would wrap our paracord, etc. There are number of possibilities, we will focus on how to wrap a paracord on the fingers.
We can see this for example in a case of wrapping binding wire or portable headphones. In our case we can use it for 10 meters long paracord. There are few steps how to do it.
1. One of the ends of the paracord is wrapped over the thumb and the longer end is placed between the little finger and the ring finger.
2. Keep wrapping between the thumb and the little finger, doing a figure 8 wrap.
3. After wrapping, keep about 30 cm of free paracord from the longer end.
4. Carefully remove the wrapped cord from your fingers and grab it with one hand.
5. We will use the free end to wrap the center.
6. Finally, tuck it under the last loop and tighten it firmly.
And it´s done.
For cord longer than 10 m we use elbow instead of fingers where the process is very similar only with the difference that we wrap the Paracord between the palm and the elbow.
For paracord storage serves great even an ordinary plastic bottle. Put the paracord inside the bottle and leave approximately 10 cm of Paracord freely outside of the bottle. With the knife make a hole in the lid of the bottle and run the paracord through this hole. On the free end of the cord that is sticking out make a knot to make sure the this end stays outside. This will make handling with the paracord easier, but at the same this method takes more space during transport.
