RifleCX is a brand that develops and manufactures its products right at home in Poland. And because it emphasizes customer feedback during development, it has managed to create a comprehensive range in which you can find practically everything you need to clean your gun. Although the offer and succession of individual products is relatively clear, it does not hurt to go through the basic steps for maximum effective cleaning.
RifleCX offers a wide range of cleaning products for different types of weapons – pistols, revolvers, shotguns and submachine guns. We recently covered gun cleaning in general in this article, but this time we will focus specifically on the RifleCX brand. It has not been in the weapon chemistry segment for too long, yet it has already managed to build a strong position on the market and is following on the heels of the established giants.
Another advantage of the RifleCX brand is the fact that it has a comprehensive range of cleaning kits for long and short weapons, shotguns and hunting rifles. With such a complete set of products, you no longer have to worry about whether you are missing something. You just need to know how to use these preparations. And that's exactly what we'll advise you on.
The first product you reach for when cleaning any firearm, along with a brush, cloth and picks, will be the RifleCX Compressed air for cleaning weapons, which is available in a 500ml package. It mainly removes coarse dirt, sand and dust from the folds of weapons. Its indisputable advantages include that it does not contain condensed water and has an optimally selected pressure. Thanks to this, you don't have to worry about cleaning even sensitive weapon optics with the compressed air. It is ideal for rough cleaning of the weapons themselves and their mechanisms.
To be honest, we tend to be somewhat skeptical of universal cleaners of the "all-in-one" type, after all, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. And even RifleCX does not offer a single solution that covers all stages of gun cleaning. Regardless of the type and length of the weapon, however, it has at least one preparation in stock that can handle most of the work.
This is the RifleCX gun cleaner (again in a 500 ml package), which saves not only the gun, but also the brush that you will use to clean the gun at the same time. This product cleans and degreases, and because it evaporates quickly, it leaves a clean and dry surface. In addition, it does not harm the vast majority of plastic and wooden elements of weapons.
After removing coarse dirt, simply spray the RifleCX gun cleaner on the still dirty parts of the gun, the product (by the way, with the highest pressure among comparable products on the market) will then remove a large part of the dirt even without the help of a brush. It removes, for example, carbon deposits, lead, copper, nickel as well as oils and other grease. More precise application of the product is ensured by the tube attachment, which is included in the package.
Barrel Cleaning Foam (or Bore Foam) is another masterpiece from RifleCX, who just know how to do it with chemistry. It is a standard part of long gun kits and is easily applied using a 60 cm long tube. It reliably covers every square centimeter of the inner part of the barrel. You leave the foam to work for about 10 minutes and in the meantime you can rush to other parts of the weapon.
After those 10 minutes, just use a wiper and a soft-bristled brush and you'll have a mirror-like barrel. The foam also reliably removes gunpowder, carbon deposits and other dirt from the inside of the barrel, and at the same time, like RifleCX Gun Cleaner, leaves no residue. It is also safe for grooved barrels.
The last stage of cleaning directed by RifleCX is focused specifically on one type of accessory that gets dirty quite significantly with the use of the gun – the suppressor.
RifleCX suppressor cleaner removes dirt as it should, while being gentle on all gun components including the suppressors themselves (except aluminium suppressors, on which it must not be used). It can be used on both fixed and removable suppressors. Surfactants and corrosion inhibitors keep the suppressor in good condition.
Other products in the range of chemical gun cleaners are already intended for aftercare. And here the offer of the RifleCX brand is truly rich. For example, the RifleCX Graphite Lubricant is specially designed for the thread of the suppressor or compensator, which is prone to seizing if not cleaned enough. The solid RifleCX Ceramic Lubricant is also used for the same purpose, which is also suitable for situations where a waterproof and hydrophobic solution is needed.
However, the icing on the cake of the RifleCX brand when it comes to caring for weapons are preparations with original Teflon from the DuPont company. In this case, RifleCX refuses to use substitutes (mainly Chinese ones), which would naturally have a negative impact on quality. DuPont RifleCX Teflon Gun Preservative Fluid or DuPont RifleCX Teflon Solid Gun Lubricant reduce friction and protect against corrosion. At the same time, they also remove any remaining cleaner and protect any uncleaned surfaces on the weapon from corrosion.
And we still have to mention the RifleCX CLP oil, which is applied as a lubricant to the moving parts of firearms. It contributes to their smooth operation and reduces their wear. It also protects the weapon against corrosion and at the same time is gentle on the wooden parts of the weapon and prevents the adhesion of combustion products.
In addition to gun cleaning chemicals, RifleCX also offers a complementary portfolio, which includes, for example, Bore Snake cleaning lines, cloths and wipers, special soap for removing heavy metals, and the like. However, in the field of weapon cleaning chemicals, the Polish brand has become one of the top in a few years – not only with a wide range of products, but above all with its high functionality. The folks at RifleCX simply don't settle for average.
